No more JV football

I'm sure that all of you know by now that our JV football team could not continue because of low numbers (11 or 12 on a good day). But that does not mean that the players quit! Nine of them went up to the Varsity team to gain some valuable experience. Most of them even got to play in the game against Calumet!

I'm sad to see the team have to dissolve, but happy that the players are continuing to play.

Archery Shoot in Iron River

SO! Above are some pictures from an archery shoot I went to in Iron River with my mom and dad. You shoot 30 arrows (6 at a time) at the large targets from 60 meters, 50 meters, then 40 meters. The rings score from the inside out 10, 9, 8, etc. The best 6 arrow score I shot was a 58. I had four arrows in the 10 ring and two arrows in the 9 ring.

The best score you can get it a 900. My total score was a 780. I was pretty happy with that!

I got to see some old friends and meet some new people.

S~T~R~E~S~S~E~D

I normally don't get stressed out about many things. I'm a pretty relaxed guy. Mr. Perry has said that I am, "intense", but normally pretty cool headed.

I had a rough day driving back from Mrs. V's parent's house. Traffic was CRAZY! Construction was CRAZY! By the time we hit Marquette, I was pretty burnt out. But....we made it!

Mrs. V and I went for a walk, then I went to lift weights. I feel much better!

Haircut

It might seem like a silly thing to write about, but I got a great haircut today in Houghton this morning! He finished with hot shaving cream and a razor in the back and side burns. I will definitely go back!

Walleye

I went fishing with my Buddie from Las Vegas today. We where in Iron Mountain below the Badwater Dam. I caught a nice small mouth bass, then a 27" walleye! I was super excited! Kyle is going to come down next Thursday and go fishing with me again. Should be fun!

Softball

We won our softball game on Tuesday and Thursday....It's nice to have some checks in the WIN column again!
On Tuesday I got up to bat twice and I hit a single and a double. I also played in right-center and caught two fly balls. One of them was just out of the infield and I had to sprint to get to it. It would have bounced out of my glove, but I caught it with two hands so we got the out.
On Thursday I got up to bat once and hit a single.
We are 2/3 the way through our regular season, then it's time for tournaments!
Those will be fun!

SLACKER!!!

I have been a slacker and not updating this!

This past weekend, Mrs. V and I celebrated our one year wedding anniversary! We went to Wisconsin Dells (Noah's Ark). It was a lot of fun. Our favorite ride was the TIME WARP, followed closely to the BLACK ANACONDA!!

We had some really good pizza at a place called, "The Moosejaw". We found out about it because all of their delivery vehicles have big MOOSE-S on top of them! THEY LOOK CRAZY!!!

A bunch of stuff

Last Wed. we went downstate for Mrs. V's, cousins wedding. It was a bunch of fun!!

We headed back on Sunday and stopped at my parents house for Fathers day. We shot a bunch of arrows in the back yard and had some GREAT steaks on the grill.

This morning I got the hubs and tires put on my boat trailer and took it for a test ride. The trailer pulls good. We might try to take the boat out this afternoon.

Another Win

We won at softball again tonight!

I went 4 for 5 batting with 3 singles and a double. I had one that bounced off the fence!! Another 4 feet higher and it would have been over! We had a bunch that where close (4 from our team that hit the fence) but no home runs. The other team had one home run.

I played right field and had one ball hit my direction...I missed it... oops. (I do better at catcher)

We are headed downstate, so have a good weekend!!

SUNSHINE!!

My parents got us an outside thermometer when we first moved into our house, and I have tried to put it in a few different places, but was never happy. So today I decided to put it on the tree in our front yard. I hope the wind doesn't tear it off the tree...

Warm out today! Suppose to be warmer tomorrow!!
